The treatment is performed with a dual technology. Plasma sparks perforate the skin causing micro-injuries without harming or scarring the skin. The micro-injuries stimulate tissue regeneration in the epidermis while heat is directed into the dermis layer of the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin fibers. This dual technology improves skin color and texture, as well as making the skin tighter and firmer.
Number of treatments: Results are visible after the first treatment. The number of treatments recommended varies between clients but normally 1-2 treatments are needed if the skin is starting to sag and the wrinkles and lines are fine. If the skin is already sagging and wrinkles are deeper it is common that 2-4 treatments are needed to see good results.
Results: It takes approximately a month to see the final results of each treatment. At least 6-8 weeks should pass between treatments, depending on the intensity of the treatment.
Before treatment: To reduce discomfort during the treatment, it is recommended to apply an anesthetic cream on the treatment area an hour before treatment.
After treatment: Redness and swelling can be felt in the treatment area immediately after treatment and can last from a few hours and up to 2-3 days. Dark spots and scab may also be visible on skin for 5-10 days after treatment. For optimal results it is important to let scab heal fully. Beware of getting the treatment area in contact with water in the first 2 days after treatment and be sure to follow strict hygienic measures to prevent infections. It is necessary to moisture the skin properly in the first week following the treatment.
After treatment the following is recommended:
· Apply a healing lotion on the treatment area twice a day for at least one week.
· Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least one week.
· Avoid going to the swimming pool for one week.
· Skip physical activities on the day of the treatment.
· Use sunscreen (at least SPF 30) for at least one week.
